This is what a typical  foot bath looks like .  The water will start out clear and go through many colors stages.  See the chart below for examples of what is sometimes seen:

There are many ways used to describe this foot bath.  The Ion Cleanse Hand and Foot Spa, Aqua Chi Foot Bath, etc.   It is recommended to wait 48 hours between each cleanse. 

Many choose to use the foot bath regularly to continue the process of detoxifying. 

After the first 4-5, one should notice that the water is not nearly as drastic looking.

This paragraph describes how this procedure works:

An ion is a charged atom that has gained or lost an electron creating a magnetic field capable of attaching to neutralizing oppositely charged particles.  These neutralized particles are extracted from the body through the process called osmosis.  Osmosis is a scientific term that is used to describe the movement of particles through a membrane from an area of lower concentration to an area of higher concentration.  In this case, the higher concentration refers to the ion field that is setup by placing the plates into the water while running the power supply.

The plates are placed into the water between the feet while the power supply delivers a low level direct current to the plates.  This causes the metals within the plates in combination with water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions by separating oxygen and hydrogen in the water.

It is believed that ions generated by the Ion Cleanse travel through the body attaching themselves to a variety of toxic substances, thereby, neutralizing their positive or negative charge.  Using the Ion Cleanse, it may be possible to reduce pain and other symptoms caused by a lifetime of toxic build up in the body.  The long-term effectiveness of the Ion Cleanse detoxification process depends on an individual’s willingness to make changes in their lifestyle to reduce the build up of toxins in the body.

Many colors and substances appear in the water during an Ion Cleanse session.  There is a reaction between the toxins and particles in the water, the salt added to the water, the metals in the plates, and the acidity or alkalinity of the person being bathed.  All of these combine to produce color, whether or not feet are in the water.  The basic color produced by these reactions varies from one geographic area to another due to different water chemistry.

It is important to understand that the water will change color even if the unit is operating without feet in the water.  The basic color change is a result of the reaction between all of the substances in the water and the plates.

The toxins our bodies may look the same as the substances in the water of a specific area; however, there will be more toxic particles in the water with the feet in it.  You will also find that water-based toxins will not stick to the side of the pan and plates, whereas toxins pulled from the body will form a sticky build up on the pan and plates that must be removed with a gentle detergent.

Those with a pacemaker or on blood thinners are not advised to use this foot bath.
